Magma Fincorp will buy Rising Sun Holdings 

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved a deal worth ₹ 3,456 crore, with Rising Sun Holdings Pvt. Ltd. will acquire a controlling stake in Magma Fincorp Limited.Rising Sun is acquiring a 60% stake in the company through preferential allocation of equity shares.
Under the terms of the deal, Rising Sun Holdings will be classified as the ‘promoter’ of Magma Fincorp.

Hero Motors Company will start a new plant
Hero Motors Company unveiled its new high-end export-oriented manufacturing plant on 13 April 2021 at Hero E Cycle Valley in Dhanansu.
The opening of the new plant commenced the first phase of operations of Hero e Cycle Valley.
The plant will increase the company’s annual production capacity to 10 million units.
The company has spent ₹ 350 crore in the operation of E Cycle Valley.

Volvo will use the new NVIDIA chipset
Volvo Cars will use a new generation of Nvidia Corp.’s high-powered chips to enable more autonomous driving functions in future vehicles.
China’s Volley car from Geely Holding will use Nvidia’s new Drive Orin system, which will have more processing power than the Nvidia chips used in Volvo vehicles.
Nvidia is also developing a new onboard computer system on a chip called Atlan.

Shirley Williams passed away
Shirley Williams died in April 2021.
She was elected to the British Parliament in 1964 as a Labor Lawmaker after several unsuccessful attempts.
She served as education secretary in a Labor government in the 1970s, becoming the country’s first female cabinet minister.
In later years, he served as Baroness Williams of Crossbay as a Liberal Democrat member of the House of Lords and retired in 2016.

Microsoft will buy Nuance Communications
Microsoft corp. Has approved to obtain speech-recognition firm Nuance Communications Inc. for $ 16 billion.
In the cash settlement, $ 56 per nuance share is awarded, a 23% premium over Friday’s closing price.
Burlington, Mass. Nuance, based in, is a leader in speech-recognition and artificial intelligence technology.
Its software is used by Apple Inc. Formed the basis of Siri voice assistant.

PNB launches digital initiative [email protected]
Punjab National Bank has launched a digital initiative [email protected] under which every transaction done by a bank branch will be initiated and authorized by the customers themselves.
From service savings accounts to availing various loans etc. any type of service can be done without the help of bank employees.
It has been launched at 165 identified locations across India.

Harshvardhan started the diet revolution movement
Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan launched the “Diet Revolution” on 13 April 2021.
It is a mission aimed at spreading the message of the need for a nutritionally balanced diet and understanding the importance of access to all local fruits and vegetables.
Vijna Bharati (Vibha) and Global Indian Scientists and Technocrats Forum (GIST) have come together to launch the mission.

Muthoot Finance announces interim dividend
The Board of Directors of Muthoot Finance has approved the payment of an interim dividend of Rs.20 per equity share.
Interim dividend will be paid to shareholders within 30 days from the date of announcement.
Muthoot Finance claims to be the largest gold loan NBFC (non-banking financial company) in India.
It has a branch network of over 4500 branches.

Pay-TV income to touch $ 12.3 billion by 2025
India’s pay-TV industry is projected to grow at an annual growth rate of 7% between 2020-25.
Total industry revenue, including membership and advertising, will reach $ 12.3 billion by 2025.
The report, titled India Pay-TV Distribution 2021, forecasts that more than 96% of India’s pay-TV households will be digitalized by 2025.

PPBL completes 970 million digital transactions
Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL) recorded more than 970 million digital transactions in March 2021.
With more than 64 million accounts, the bank’s total deposits have crossed ₹ 3200 crore.
PPBL claims to be the largest beneficiary bank for UPI transactions and has recorded the highest success rate in the industry.
It is also rapidly gaining traction as a remittance bank for UPI payments.

14 hospitals declared full COVID hospitals
14 private hospitals in Delhi, including Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and St. Stephen’s Hospital, Tis Hazari, have been declared as full COVID Hospitals.
He is directed not to accept any non-COVID medical or surgical patient until further orders.
19 private hospitals have been directed to reserve at least 80 percent of their total ICU bed capacity for treatment related to COVID.

Ant group will undergo a major metamorphosis

The new guidelines for Ant’s metamorphosis come days after Alibaba was fined $ 2.8 billion.
Ant is one of the two leading companies in the online payment business in China, the other rival being Tencent.

Jallianwala Bagh Massacre Anniversary: 13 April
13 April marks the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
April 13, 2021 marks the 102nd anniversary of this event.
The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre refers to the incident in 1919 at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, in which thousands of people gathered for Baisakhi were fired upon by British troops.
In the massacre, hundreds of people were killed and many were injured.

JMM founder member Simon Marandi dies
The founding member of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and senior BJP leader Simon Marandi died in April 2021.
He has been a five-time MLA and Minister of State in Jharkhand.
He was popularly known as ‘Simon Da’.
He twice represented the Rajmahal seat in the Lok Sabha.

Rajasthan, the second state to give 10 million vaccine doses
Rajasthan has become the second state after Maharashtra to administer more than 1 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses by 12 April 2021.
As on 11 April 2021, a total of 99.83 lakh doses were given in the state.
On 12 April 2021, this figure crossed 1 crore.
In Rajasthan, a total of 3380 government and 188 private sites are providing vaccination facilities.
